National Payroll Week is a public awareness campaign that pays tribute to payroll professionals and the fact that they not only process thousands of payments each week but they do so accurately and on time.
With each and every payment issued, the payroll department must make the correct deductions for PAYE, PRSI, USC etc. Payroll is the one corporate function where 99.9% accuracy is simply not good enough! Mistakes can have far reaching consequences, for both the employer and the employee.
National Payroll Week was designed to honour payroll professionals, but also to celebrate all Irish workers, because they generate the revenue needed to help Ireland recover.
